I f one man wrongs another, God will mediate for him; but if a man wrongs the Lord, who shall intercede for him? Yet they did not listen to their father, for it was the Lord’s will to slay them.

Ki te hara he tangata ki tona hoa, ma te Atua te whakawa mona: tena ko tenei ka hara te tangata ki a Ihowa, ko wai hei kaiwawao mona? Heoi kihai raua i pai ki te whakarongo ki te reo o to raua papa, no te mea i pai a Ihowa kia whakamatea raua.
