S aul said to Samuel, Yes, I have obeyed the voice of the Lord and have gone the way which the Lord sent me, and have brought Agag king of Amalek and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.

فَقالَ شاوُلُ: «لَكِنِّي أطَعْتُ صَوْتَ اللهِ فِعلاً! ذَهَبْتُ إلَى حَيْثُ أرسَلَنِي، وَأبَدْتُ كُلَّ شَعبِ عَمالِيقَ. وَلَمْ أُبقِ إلّا عَلَى واحِدٍ أسَرْتُهُ، وَهُوَ مَلِكُهُمْ أجاجُ.
