T hen the Philistines said, Who has done this? And they were told, Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he has taken his wife and has given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up and burned her and her father with fire.

Atunci filistenii au întrebat: – Cine a făcut fapta aceasta? Li s-a răspuns: – Samson, ginerele timnitului, pentru că acesta i-a luat soţia şi i-a dat-o prietenului lui! Filistenii s-au dus şi au ars-o pe ea şi pe tatăl ei.
