T he Amorites remained fixed in Mount Heres, in Aijalon, and in Shaalbim; yet the hand of the house of Joseph prevailed, so that they became subject to forced labor.

إذْ كانَ الأمُورِيُّونَ عازِمِينَ عَلَى البَقاءِ فِي جَبَلِ حارَسَ وَأيَّلُونَ وَشَعَلُبِّيمَ. لَكِنَّ بَنِي يُوسُفَ ازْدادُوا قُوَّةً وَأجبَرُوا الأمُورِيِّينَ عَلَى العَمَلِ عَبِيداً لَدَيهِمْ.
