A nd because of the signs (miracles) which he is allowed to perform in the presence of the beast, he deceives those who inhabit the earth, commanding them to erect a statue (an image) in the likeness of the beast who was wounded by the sword and still lived.

Ea îi ducea în rătăcire pe locuitorii pământului prin semnele care îi fusese dat să le facă în locul celeilalte fiare, spunându-le locuitorilor pământului să facă o imagine a fiarei care avusese rana cauzată de sabie, şi care totuşi a trăit.
