S o that of your faith may be tested, which is infinitely more precious than the perishable gold which is tested and purified by fire. to redound to praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) is revealed.

so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
