T hen Joshua rent his clothes and lay on the earth upon his face before the ark of the Lord until evening, he and the elders of Israel; and they put dust on their heads.

Иисус разорвал на себе одежду, упал лицом на землю перед ковчегом Господа и оставался там до вечера. Старейшины Израиля сделали то же самое и посыпали свои головы пылью.
