T hen Joshua spoke to the Lord on the day when the Lord gave the Amorites over to the Israelites, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, be silent and stand still at Gibeon, and you, moon, in the Valley of Ajalon!

Allora Giosuè parlò al Signore, il giorno che il Signore diede gli Amorei in mano ai figli d’Israele, e disse in presenza d’Israele: «Sole, fermati su Gabaon, e tu, luna, sulla valle di Aialon!»
