Deuteronomy 9:18 ~ ﺍﻟﺘﺜﻨﻴﺔ 9:18

T hen I fell down before the Lord as before, for forty days and forty nights; I neither ate food nor drank water, because of all the sin you had committed in doing wickedly in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.

ثُمَّ عُدُّتُ وَانْبَطَحْتُ ثانِيَةً وَوَجهِي إلَى الأرْضِ فِي حَضرَةِ اللهِ لِأربَعِينَ يَوماً وَأربَعِينَ لَيلَةً، لَمْ آكُلْ فِيها خُبزاً وَلَمْ أشرَبْ ماءً، بِسَبَبِ الخَطِيَّةِ الَّتِي ارتَكَبتُمُوها بِعِبادَةِ آلِهَةٍ أُخْرَى أمامَ عَينَي اللهِ ، فَأغضَبتُمُوهُ.
