B ut Paul, when he perceived that one part of them were Sadducees and the other part Pharisees, cried out to the council (Sanhedrin), Brethren, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees; it is with regard to the hope and the resurrection of the dead that I am indicted and being judged.

Phao-lô biết trong bọn họ phần thì người Sa-đu-sê, phần thì người Pha-ri-si, bèn kêu lên trước tòa công luận rằng: Hỡi anh em, tôi là người Pha-ri-si, con của dòng Pha-ri-si. Aáy là vì sự trông cậy của chúng ta và sự sống lại của những kẻ chết mà tôi phải chịu xử đoán.
