A nd they brought Him first to Annas, for he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was the high priest that year.

وَأخَذُوهُ إلَى حَنّانَ أوَّلاً. لِأنَّ حَنّانَ هُوَ حَمُو قَيافا رَئِيْسِ الكَهَنَةِ فِي تِلكَ السَّنَةِ.
