N ow Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was being done by, and he was perplexed and troubled, because it was said by some that John had been raised from the dead,

وَسَمِعَ الوالِي هِيرُودُسُ بِكُلِّ ما كانَ يَجرِي، فَاحْتَارَ لِأنَّ بَعضَهُمْ كانَ يَقولُ إنَّ يُوحَنّا قَدْ أُقِيمَ مِنَ المَوتِ.
