E acamparam a leste do tabernáculo, em frente da Tenda do Encontro, Moisés, Arão e seus filhos. Tinham a responsabilidade de cuidar do santuário em favor dos israelitas. Qualquer pessoa não autorizada que se aproximasse do santuário teria que ser executada.
