B ut Daniel determined in his heart that he would not defile himself by the king’s rich and dainty food or by the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not to defile himself.

І поклав Даниїл собі на серце, що він не оскверниться їжею царя та питвом, що той сам його пив, і просив від начальника евнухів, щоб не осквернитися.
