A nd the ledge shall be fourteen cubits long and fourteen cubits broad on its four sides, and the border about it shall be half a cubit; and its bottom or gutter shall be a cubit deep and wide, and its ascent shall face the east.

Верхний выступ тоже квадратный, четырнадцать локтей в длину и четырнадцать локтей в ширину, с ободом в половину локтя. Ров вокруг жертвенника был в локоть шириной. Ступени ведут к жертвеннику – с восточной стороны.
