T herefore thus says the Lord God: Surely in the fire of My hot jealousy have I spoken against the rest of the nations and against all Edom, who have given to themselves My land with wholehearted joy and with uttermost contempt, that they might empty it out and possess it for a prey and a spoil.

Aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: ‘În focul geloziei Mele am ceva de spus împotriva neamurilor înconjurătoare şi împotriva întregului Edom, pentru că au făcut din ţara Mea moştenirea lor şi s-au bucurat din toată inima lor şi cu dispreţ în sufletul lor să-i jefuiască păşunea.’»
