A s I live, says the Lord God, surely because My sheep became a prey, and My sheep became food for every beast of the field because there was no shepherd—neither did My shepherds search for My sheep, but the shepherds fed themselves and fed not My sheep—

Com'è vero che io vivo», dice il Signore, l'Eterno, «poiché le mie pecore sono divenute una preda, le mie pecore sono andate in pasto a tutte le fiere della campagna per mancanza di un pastore e perché i miei pastori non sono andati in cerca delle mie pecore, ma i pastori hanno pasciuto se stessi e non hanno pasciuto le mie pecore».
