T herefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall carry off her great mass of people and of things (her riches) and take her spoil and take her prey, and it shall be the wages for his army.

Por eso Dios el Señor ha dicho: “Voy a dejar que Egipto caiga en manos de Nabucodonosor, el rey de Babilonia. Voy a dejar que él se apodere de sus riquezas, y que recoja sus despojos como botín de guerra. Con eso, su ejército quedará bien pagado.
