T he elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground keeping silent; they have cast dust on their heads, they have girded themselves with sackcloth. The maidens of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

Pleqtë e bijës së Sionit ulen për tokë në heshtje; kanë hedhur pluhur mbi kokën e tyre, kanë ngjeshur trupin me thes; virgjëreshat e Jeruzalemit ulin deri në tokë kokën e tyre.
