O h, that I had in the wilderness a lodging place (a mere shelter) for wayfaring men, that I might leave my people and go away from them! For they are all adulterers; they are a gang of treacherous men.

Oh, avessi nel deserto un rifugio per viandanti! Abbandonerei il mio popolo e me ne andrei lontano da loro, perché sono tutti adulteri, un assembramento di traditori.
