T hus says the Lord of hosts: The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly overthrown and made bare, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; the peoples shall labor in vain, and the nations to satisfy the fire, and they shall be weary.


Kështu thotë Zoti i ushtrive: "Muret e gjëra të Babilonisë do të prishen krejtësisht, portat e saj të larta do të digjen me zjarr; kështu popujt do të kenë punuar për asgjë dhe kombet do të jenë munduar vetëm për zjarrin".
