F or the king of Babylon’s army was then besieging Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the house of the king of Judah.

فِي ذَلِكَ اليَومِ، كانَ جَيشُ مَلِكِ بابِلَ يُحاصِرُ مَدينَةَ القُدْسِ، وَإرْمِيا النَّبِيّ مَسجُوناً فِي ساحَةِ السِّجنِ الَّذِي كانَ فِي بَيتِ مَلِكِ يَهُوذا.
