B ut I was like a tame lamb that is brought to the slaughter; I did not know that they had devised inventions and schemes against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with its fruit; let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.

Còn tôi, như chiên con dễ biểu bị dắt đến chỗ giết, tôi chẳng biết họ mưu toan nghịch cùng tôi, mà rằng: Hãy diệt cả cây và trái, dứt khỏi đất người sống, hầu cho danh nó chẳng được nhớ đến nữa.
