L ike an apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons! Under his shadow I delighted to sit, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.

حَبِيبِي بَينَ بَقِيَّةِ الرِّجالِ، كَشَجَرَةِ تُفّاحٍ بَينَ الأشجارِ البَرِّيَّةِ فِي الأدغالِ. هِيَ تَقُولُ للفَتَيات: ألتَذُّ بِالجُلُوسِ فِي ظِلِّهِ، وَفَمِي يَستَطِيبُ ثَمَرَهُ.
