T herefore the Jews of the villages, who dwell in the unwalled towns, make the fourteenth day of the month of Adar a day of gladness and feasting, a holiday, and a day for sending choice portions to one another.

De aceea iudeii de la sate au făcut din ziua a paisprezecea a lunii Adar o zi de bucurie şi de ospăţ, o zi de sărbătoare în care prietenii îşi trimit unii altora daruri.
