T he special messengers went out in haste by order of the king, and the decree was given out in Shushan, the capital. And the king and Haman sat down to drink, but the city of Shushan was perplexed.

Les courriers partirent en toute hâte, d'après l'ordre du roi. L'édit fut aussi publié dans Suse, la capitale; et tandis que le roi et Haman étaient à boire, la ville de Suse était dans la consternation.
