Nehemiah 9:29 ~ Nê-hê-mi-a 9:29

A nd reproved and warned them, that You might bring them again to Your law. Yet they acted presumptuously and did not heed Your commandments, but sinned against Your ordinances, which by keeping, a man shall live. And they turned a stubborn shoulder, stiffened their neck, and would not listen.

Chúa cũng làm chứng nghịch cùng chúng, để dẫn dắt chúng trở lại luật pháp của Ngài. Dầu vậy, chúng cư xử cách kiêu ngạo không nghe các điều răn Chúa, phạm đến luật lệ của Chúa, là luật lệ nếu người nào vâng làm theo, tất sẽ được sống; chúng ở chấp nhất, cứng cổ mình, và không khứng nghe theo.
