E zra the scribe stood on a wooden pulpit which they had made for the purpose. And beside him stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchijah, Hashum, Hashbaddana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.

Esdra, lo scriba, stava su una tribuna di legno che avevano fatto per l'occasione. Accanto a lui stavano, a destra, Mattithiah, Scema, Ananiah, Uria, Hilkiah e Maaseiah, a sinistra, Pedaiah, Mishael, Malkijah, Hashum, Hashbaddana, Zaccaria e Meshullam.
