N o Passover like it had been kept in Israel since the days of Samuel the prophet, even by any of the kings of Israel, as was kept by Josiah and the priests, the Levites, and all Judah and Israel who were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Paşte ca acesta nu se mai sărbătorise în Israel din perioada profetului Samuel. Nici un rege al lui Israel nu a mai ţinut un Paşte ca cel ţinut de Iosia împreună cu preoţii, cu leviţii, cu toţi cei din Iuda şi cu cei din Israel care se aflau acolo alături de locuitorii Ierusalimului.
