A nd he burned his children as an offering in the Valley of Ben-hinnom, and practiced soothsaying, augury, and sorcery, and dealt with mediums and wizards. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger.

Chegou a queimar seus filhos em sacrifício no vale de Ben-Hinom; praticou feitiçaria, adivinhação e magia, e recorreu a médiuns e aos que consultavam os espíritos. Fez o que o Senhor reprova, provocando-o à ira.
