B ut a prophet of the Lord was there whose name was Oded, and he went out to meet the army that was returning to Samaria and said to them, Behold, because the Lord, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, He delivered them into your hand; but you have slain them in a fury that reaches up to heaven.

Pero había allí un profeta del Señor llamado Oded, y éste salió al encuentro del ejército que venía a Samaria, y les dijo: He aquí, porque el Señor, Dios de vuestros padres, estaba airado con Judá, los ha entregado en vuestras manos, y los habéis matado con una furia que ha llegado hasta el cielo.
