W hen the Levites brought the chest to the king’s office, and whenever they saw that there was much money, the king’s secretary and the high priest’s officer came and emptied the chest and carried it to its place again. Thus they did day by day and collected money in abundance.

Ori de câte ori cufărul era dus de către leviţi la dregătorii regelui, atunci când vedeau că era prea mult argint în el, venea scribul regelui împreună cu slujbaşul preotului conducător şi goleau cufărul. Apoi leviţii îl luau şi îl duceau înapoi la locul lui. Aşa făceau în fiecare zi şi astfel au strâns mult argint.
