B ut Jehosheba, the daughter of the king, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were to be slain, and she put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So Jehosheba daughter of King Jehoram, sister of Ahaziah, and wife of Jehoiada the priest, hid from Athaliah, so that she did not slay him.

Mais Joschabeath, fille du roi, prit Joas, fils d'Achazia, et l'enleva du milieu des fils du roi, quand on les fit mourir: elle le mit avec sa nourrice dans la chambre des lits. Ainsi Joschabeath, fille du roi Joram, femme du sacrificateur Jehojada, et soeur d'Achazia, le déroba aux regards d'Athalie, qui ne le fit point mourir.
