J abez cried to the God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request.


Gia-bê khấn nguyện với Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng: Chớ chi Chúa ban phước cho tôi, mở bờ cõi tôi rộng lớn; nguyện tay Chúa phù giúp tôi, giữ tôi được khỏi sự dữ, hầu cho tôi chẳng buồn rầu! Đức Chúa Trời bèn ban cho y như sự người cầu nguyện.
