W hen the Syrians saw that they were defeated by Israel, they sent messengers and drew forth the Syrians who were beyond the Euphrates River, with Shophach the commander of the army of Hadadezer at their head.

Sirienii, văzînd că fuseseră bătuţi de Israel, au trimes şi au adus pe Sirienii cari erau de cealaltă parte a Rîului; şi Şofah, căpetenia oştirii lui Hadarezer, era în fruntea lor.
