F or the Lord had made the Syrian army hear a noise of chariots and horses, the noise of a great army. They had said to one another, The king of Israel has hired the Hittite and Egyptian kings to come upon us.

Il Signore aveva fatto udire nell’accampamento dei Siri un rumore di carri, un rumore di cavalli, un rumore di grande esercito, tanto che i Siri avevano detto fra di loro: «Il re d’Israele ha assoldato contro di noi i re degli Ittiti e i re degli Egiziani, perché vengano ad assalirci».
