A nd brought all the priests out of the city of Judah and defiled the high places, where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba, and broke down the high places both at the entrance of the Gate of Joshua the governor of the city and that which was on one’s left at the city’s gate.

Josías ordenó que todos los sacerdotes de las ciudades de Judá fueran a Jerusalén, y desde Geba hasta Berseba profanó los altares de los montes, donde los sacerdotes quemaban incienso; además, derribó los altares que estaban a la entrada de la ciudad, del lado izquierdo de la puerta de Josué, el gobernador.
