J ehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he began his three-month reign in Jerusalem. His mother was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

كانَ يَهُوآحازُ فِي الثّالِثَةِ وَالعِشْرِينَ مِنْ عُمْرِهِ عِنْدَما تَوَلَّى الحُكْمَ. وَحَكَمَ ثَلاثَ شُهُورٍ فِي القُدْسِ. وَكانَ اسْمُ أُمِّهِ حَمُوطَلَ بِنْتَ إرْمِيا مِنْ لِبْنَةَ.
