A nd the king defiled the high places east of Jerusalem, south of the Mount of Corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abominable of the Sidonians, for Chemosh the abominable god of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abominable of the Ammonites.

Regele a pângărit înălţimile care erau în faţa Ierusalimului, în partea dreaptă a Muntelui Depravării, pe care le construise Solomon, regele lui Israel, pentru Aştoret, urâciunea sidonienilor, pentru Chemoş, urâciunea Moabului, şi pentru Milcom, urâciunea amoniţilor.
