E lijah said to him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray you, for the Lord has sent me to Jericho. But he said, As the Lord lives and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they came to Jericho.

Elia gli disse: «Eliseo, fèrmati qui, ti prego, perché il Signore mi manda a Gerico». Quegli rispose: «Com’è vero che il Signore vive, e che tu vivi, io non ti lascerò». Così se ne andarono a Gerico.
