F or He tore Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam son of Nebat king. And Jeroboam drew and drove Israel away from following the Lord and made them sin a great sin.

وَشَقَّ اللهُ إسْرائِيلَ عَنْ عائِلَةِ داوُدَ. وَنَصَّبُوا يَرُبْعامَ بْنَ نَباطَ مَلِكاً عَلَيْهِم، الَّذِي جَرَّهُمْ إلَى الخَطِيَّةِ، وَأبعَدَهُمْ عَنِ اللهِ.
