A nd the man of God was angry with him and said, You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck down Syria until you had destroyed it. But now you shall strike Syria down only three times.

L’uomo di Dio si adirò contro di lui e disse: «Avresti dovuto percuoterlo cinque o sei volte; allora tu avresti sconfitto i Siri fino a sterminarli; mentre adesso non li sconfiggerai che tre volte». Eliseo morì e fu sepolto.
