A s soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, Jehu said to the guards and to the officers, Go in and slay them; let none escape. And they smote them with the sword; and the guards or runners and the officers threw their bodies out and went into the inner dwelling of the house of Baal.

Tan pronto como acabó de ofrecer el holocausto, Jehú dijo a la guardia y a los oficiales reales: “Entren, mátenlos; que ninguno salga.” Y los mataron a filo de espada; y la guardia y los oficiales reales los echaron fuera, y llegaron hasta el aposento interior de la casa de Baal.
