S o now say this to My servant David, Thus says the Lord of hosts: I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be prince over My people Israel.

«قُلْ هَذا لِخادِمِي داوُدَ: هَذا هُوَ ما يَقُولُهُ اللهُ القَدِيرُ: ‹اخْتَرْتُكَ عِنْدما كُنْتَ في المَراعِي تَتْبَعُ الغَنَمَ. أخَذْتُكَ مِنْ عَمَلِكَ وَجَعَلْتُكَ رَئِيسَ شَعبِي، بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ.
