T hen Abner was very angry at the words of Ish-bosheth and said, Am I a dog’s head against Judah? This day I keep showing kindness and loyalty to the house of Saul your father, to his brothers, and his friends, and have not delivered you into the hands of David; and yet you charge me today with a fault concerning this woman!

Abner si adirò fortemente per le parole di Ish-Bosceth e rispose: «Sono forse una testa di cane di Giuda? Fino ad oggi ho usato fedeltà verso la casa di Saul tuo padre, verso i suoi fratelli e i suoi amici e non ti ho dato nelle mani di Davide, e proprio oggi tu mi rimproveri la colpa commessa con questa donna!
