A bsalom answered Joab, I sent to you, saying, Come here, that I may send you to the king to ask, Why have I come from Geshur? It would be better for me to be there still. Now therefore, let me see the king, and if there is iniquity and guilt in me, let him kill me.

Y Absalón respondió a Joab: “Mira, mandé a decirte: ‘Ven acá, para enviarte al rey a decir le: “¿Para qué vine de Gesur? Mejor me hubiera sido estar aún allá.”’ Ahora pues, vea yo el rostro del rey; y si hay iniquidad en mí, que me dé muerte.”
