B ut Jacob journeyed to Succoth and built himself a house and made booths or places of shelter for his livestock; so the name of the place is called Succoth.

أمّا يَعقُوبُ فَذَهَبَ إلَى بَلْدَةِ سُكُّوتَ وَبَنَى لِنَفْسِهِ بَيتاً هُناكَ. وَصَنَعَ أيضاً خِياماً لِحِمايَةِ مَواشِيهِ. فَدُعِيَ ذَلِكَ المَكانُ سُكُّوتَ.
