N dërsa Samueli ofronte olokaustin, Filistejtë u afruan për të sulmuar Izraelin; por Zoti bubulloi me buçimë të madhe kundër Filistejve dhe i ngatërroi deri në atë pikë sa u mundën para Izraelit.

Pendant que Samuel offrait l'holocauste, les Philistins s'approchèrent pour attaquer Israël. L'Éternel fit retentir en ce jour son tonnerre sur les Philistins, et les mit en déroute. Ils furent battus devant Israël.
