P astaj mori në dorë shkopin e tij, zgjodhi pesë gurë të lëmuar në përrua, i vuri në torbën e bariut, në një thes të vogël që kishte me vete; pastaj me hobenë në dorë u nis kundër Filisteut.

He took his stick in his hand, and chose five smooth stones from the river. He put them in his shepherd’s bag. His sling was in his hand, and he went to the Philistine.
