s epse bijtë e Jozefit formonin dy fise, atë të Manasit dhe atë të Efraimit; Levitëve nuk iu dha asnjë pjesë në vend, por vetëm disa qytete për të banuar bashkë me kullota për bagëtinë e tyre dhe pasuritë që kishin.

For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim. They gave no portion to the Levites in the land, except cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their livestock and for their property.
